What level should I make my Metal Mine, Crystal Mine and Deuterium Synthesiser until I should focus on my Shipyard and Defences?

I follow the building sequence posted in the Guides section on OGame boards.
Solar 1 Metal 1 Metal 2 Solar 2 Metal 3 Metal 4 Solar 3 Metal 5 Crystal 1 Solar 4 Metal 6 Crystal 2 etc.
Metal 10 Crystal 5 Solar 9-10 I start pumping up deut quickly. making sure to keep energy ahead.
Since robotics, shipyards and the others don't use energy. I build them whenever I have the duet.

Um...depends how you want to play the game. If you want to be mine/defense based, keep metal ahead. If you want to be research-based, keep crystal ahead. If you want to be offensively based, keep deut ahead...just make sure you get the res you need for what you're doing, really
